Anyone know how to convert AVAGO 3108 RAID Controller into IT Mode for S2D or SpacesDirect?
Pci Sas Controller
I got several SuperMicro X10DRH-CT motherboard. All these came with AVAGO 3108 RAID controllers. We got 12 drive slots on the front of the server, and they all run off these RAID controllers.
I am trying to build Windows 2016 S2D off the 12 drives in the drive bays. In the RAID controller bios, I had to set each drive to RAID-0. WINDOWS 2016 does not like this at all for S2D. I got an error stating there are no drives on the NODE for S2D.
After doing some research, it appears I have to convert the BIOS into HBA or IT mode. I believe these are the same as LSI 9361-8i RAID controllers using Broadcom chip? Anyway, I been download Broadcom Storage Manager to update firmware, and I was not able to do so.
Anybody got any idea how to get these RAID controllers to work with Windows 2016 S2D?
